Poetry - Haikus Part 4: October, November, December

Here we are at the final installment of my haiku series, and what better time to wrap it up than the last day of the year? This post is on the months of October, November, and December. Part 3 can be read here.

October

Fest season arrives

The leaves falling through crisp air

Ending with a scare

November

Starting to reflect

Thankful for many bounties

The cold draws us close

December

Hang lights, deck the halls

Sing the tunes, breathe the tree

Christmastime is here

There's something almost poetic (I'm sorry) about finishing this on December 31st. I enjoyed the different mental challenge of writing these haikus. Believe it or not, in less than 24 hours 2026 will be here and I wish everyone reading a happy new year!
